That's usually the first thing people mention. The factory system on both engines is built to keep things quiet, not to let a proper engine actually be heard. This one caught us a little off guard too. Customer after customer says the truck responds better once the exhaust is on. Not dramatically, not like we bolted on a new engine, but noticeably. Less restriction behind the engine means it isn't working as hard to push exhaust out, and that shows up as a truck that answers quicker under your right foot, whether you're rolling onto the throttle in traffic or getting back into it after a gear change while towing.
We won't pretend an exhaust replaces a proper tune. What we will say is that almost everyone who's fitted one tells us the truck feels sharper than it did before.
