- DPF-back starts behind the DPF. That's the diesel particulate filter, a part that traps soot from your engine. The filter stays. Everything after it gets replaced.
- Dump pipe-back starts further forward, at the dump pipe. The dump pipe is the first pipe out of the turbo. So this option replaces more of the exhaust.
More new pipe means more airflow.
Which one is right for you? That depends on how you use your truck and what you need it set up for.
Should you pick a muffled or non-muffled exhaust?
Pick muffled if you want it quieter. Pick non-muffled if you want it loud.
A muffler is the part that softens the sound.
- Muffled: keeps the muffler in. You get a deeper note than stock, but it stays easy to live with on long drives.
- Non-muffled: leaves it out. That means a harder, louder sound with real bite to it.
