Triton Exhaust

Triton

The Mitsubishi Triton was introduced to Australia in 1985, and quickly gained a reputation for being a tough, reliable vehicle for both work and play.

Now in in its 4th iteration, the Triton is powered by a 2.5L Common Rail diesel engine, producing 131kw.

A 3” exhaust system can easily be fitted to the Mitsubishi Triton, giving faster turbo spool and lower exhaust gas temperatures, not to mention a nice quiet growl when under load. The 3” Triton exhaust then gives scope for unleashing further performance gains through the fitment of a Sting Power Module, or ECU Remap. These methods of electronic tuning can give up to 30% improvement in power and torque compared to the standard figures.

So how is our Triton exhaust better than the factory one? It mostly comes down to size. Our Manta Pro-enhanced Triton exhaust runs all the way from the rear of the vehicle, up to the turbo face, in full 3” mandrel bent exhaust tube. This is up to 50% bigger than the factory Triton exhaust system. Turbocharged vehicles like the Triton need a minimum amount of backpressure in the exhaust system, to allow the turbocharger to function effectively. You won’t lose any low-down torque by fitting a 3” exhaust to a Triton, as the factory turbo manifold provides enough backpressure when the engine isn’t under boost to ensure the engine can still generate significant power and torque at low revs.

If you have the automatic version of the Triton, you are no doubt aware that you have 50nm less torque than the equivalent manual version. Our 3” Triton exhaust & ECU remapping can correct this, giving you the power and torque that the auto Triton should have right from the factory.
