The 5.7L LS1 V8 introduced in the VY HSV Sedan, was a high output version of the motor found in regular Commodores. Producing 260kw, the motor was still restricted by the stock exhaust system, which also gave the car a somewhat muted exhaust note. By fitting a Manta exhaust system, the true character of the GenIII V8 can be released, together with extra power, torque and responsiveness.
